During this introductory "come play with clay" workshop, Susie Hansen will be teaching how to make a animal/figure roughly in clay, focusing on pose and character and facial expression.
- Think about how "character" is portrayed in pose and composition.
- Think what setting completes this narrative? Is it one place / a related object or image.
- Work to connect the Figure and the setting visually.
- Retrain the brain to observe and feel rather than predict the "known outcomes" of what we believe a head/body/hand or foot to look like.
